Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 2, 2026

1. Overview

CTAG Hosting ("we", "us", "our") provides a platform for deploying and managing Node.js, Python, and static game backends. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the protections in place for your backend and its data.

2. Information We Collect

  • Discord account data — your Discord ID, username, and avatar, obtained when you log in with Discord OAuth.
  • Backend content — the code, files, and configuration you upload or write for your hosted backends.
  • Usage and technical data — IP address, request logs, deployment activity, and container resource usage, collected for security, abuse prevention, and reliability.
  • Support communications — messages sent through our Discord server or ban appeal system.

3. How We Use Information

We use collected information to operate and maintain the hosting platform, authenticate users, deploy and run backends in isolated containers, provide subdomain routing, detect and prevent abuse, enforce our Terms of Service, and communicate important service updates.

4. Administrator Access

Administrators may be granted access to your backend solely for management, moderation, maintenance, and support purposes. Administrators do not have access to your environment variables, secrets, API keys, tokens, or any other confidential credentials stored within your backend.

All administrators are required to maintain strict confidentiality regarding any information they encounter while performing their duties. They are prohibited from sharing, copying, distributing, or leaking any backend information, user data, configuration details, or other confidential information obtained through their administrative access.

Any administrator who violates this policy by sharing or leaking confidential information will have their administrative privileges immediately revoked and will be permanently banned and blacklisted from our services and from holding any future staff position.

5. Data Storage & Security

Backends run in isolated Docker containers with strict resource limits. We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect stored data, but no system can be guaranteed 100% secure. You are responsible for the content and security practices of the code you deploy.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the platform (such as infrastructure and DNS providers), or when required by law, to enforce our Terms of Service, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our users and service.

7. Data Retention

We retain account and backend data for as long as your account or backend remains active. If you delete a backend or your account, associated files and configuration are removed from our active systems, though residual copies may persist briefly in backups or logs before rotation.

8. Your Choices

You may delete individual backends at any time from your dashboard. To request deletion of your account or associated data, contact us through our Discord server.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of CTAG Hosting after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
